Both of these authors have found salvation in cycling. In A Time of Birds, Helen Moat set herself the challenge of an epic cycle ride across Europe. Crossing a continent shaped by war and peace, peoples divided and reunited, Helen reflects on her own upbringing during Northern Ireland's troubles. In Rachel Ann Cullen’s A Midlife Cyclist.she writes candidly about her need to find a different way to kick her mental health demons, it is a tale of two wheels - across the Yorkshire Dales, Vietnam, Costa Rica and beyond - and a rider in search of peace.

Parking
Please note that there is on-street surrounding The Mitchell Library, from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday this is metered. As this is also a local residential area, please use these spaces considerately. Alternatively, there is an a NCP Car Park on India Street next to Charing Cross Train Station which is a 2 minute walk away.
Photography and video recording
On occasion, Glasgow Life will be on the premises to film and take photos.
