Drums thunder and the orchestra roars as Brahms launches his First
Symphony: the musical drama of a lifetime, crowned with a tune you’ll never
forget. It’s powerful stuff – but before Thomas Søndergård lets it off the
leash, there’s pure sunshine, as our good friend Nicola Benedetti leads an
all-British supergroup of soloists in Beethoven’s sparkling three-way Concerto.
And that’s not all, as Kanneh-Mason and Grosvenor team up with the stars of the
future, too, in two songs with the RSNO’s inspirational Youth Chorus.

Benedetti, Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Benjamin Grosvenor appear courtesy of Decca
