There are over 100,000 molluscs in the natural history collection. These range from tiny, almost microscopic ones to the giant clams, which can grow to 120 cm across. Richard Sutcliffe will show a few of the more interesting shells from the collection, and will explain the differences between the different types: cephalopods, scaphopods, bivalves, gastropods and others. Find out why molluscs are important, and see some really attractive and beautiful shells usually not on view.
