We
are thrilled that Heather Parry will be joining us in the Mitchell Library for
a creative writing workshop. This will be for anyone to join in, whether you are new
to writing or have been writing for a while and would like to meet some new people that like writing too!
Heather
is a writer of fiction and nonfiction. Her debut novel, Orpheus Builds a Girl,
was shortlisted for the Saltire Fiction Book of the Year award and longlisted
for the Polari First Book Prize!
Her most recent novel Carrion Crow has been described by the Financial Times as "A worthy entrant into the contemporary gothic hall of fame" and praised by favourite gothic and horror authors Julia Armfield and Lucy Rose:

PC's and printing services are available for public use.
Parking
Please note that there is on-street parking surrounding The Mitchell Library. This is metered from 8am-6pm. Monday to Friday. As this is a local residential area, please use these spaces considerately. Alternatively, there is a NCP Car Park on India Street next to Charing Cross Train Station which is a 2 minute walk away.
Photography and video recording
On occasion, Glasgow Life will be on the premises to film and take photos.

We provide free WIFI access and further access to over 50 PCs for public use
