Marti Pellow is one of the most recognisable and celebrated voices in British pop. As the frontman of Wet Wet Wet, he led the band to incredible success with over 15 million records sold, 30 UK chart hits, and three No.1 singles -including the iconic "Love is All Around," which topped the UK chart for an astonishing 15 consecutive weeks.
With a signature blend of pop, soul, and romantic balladry, Marti's vocals helped define the sound of a generation. Wet Wet Wet's debut album Popped In Souled Out went multi-platinum, and hits like "Sweet Little Mystery," "Angel Eyes," and "Goodnight Girl" cemented the band's place in British music history.
As a solo artist, Marti ha continued to evolve, releasing over a dozen albums exploring soul, jazz, and orchestral pop. From the Platinum-selling Smile to expansive Stargazer, his solo catalogue showcases both his versatility and deep masculinity. Live, Marti remains a commanding presence - whether fronting a full band or accompanied by an orchestra - and has headlined sold-out tours across the UK and beyond.
Now celebrating over 40 years in music, Marti Pellow continues to bring his voice, his stories and his passion for great songwriting to new audiences.
"Summer Nights at the Bandstand will be incredibly special to me. Being back home means everything, and sharing music with the people who shaped me makes it even sweeter. Let’s have a Marti Party in the park, bring your dancing shoes and your smiles, and I’ll bring the songs we all know and love.” - Marti Pellow
Regular Music’s annual Summer Nights festival, which runs from the end of July into August each year, has become a firm favourite with music fans and scooped the Unesco City of Music Best Live Event at the Scottish Music Awards in 2017.
Gates for Summer Nights at the Bandstand open each night at 6.30pm with draft bars serving a range of drinks including Birra Moretti lager and a selection of delicious street food available.
