Discover some examples of this ancient craft in our collection then learn some of the basic techniques to produce a simple tooled leather pouch. Participants will be given a brief tour of the tooled leather items in the collection. They will then return to the learning room where they will be given a demonstration of the basic techniques needed to engrave/emboss a design into a pre prepared leather blank.

By Train

GMRC is a short walk from Nitshill train station, and can be reached by turning right onto Nitshill Road and walking under the bridge towards Wiltonburn Road on your right. Turn right again onto Woodhead Road. Trains run regularly between Nitshill and Glasgow Central train station.

By Bus

First Bus service 57 stops near the venue.
