Unearthed: Ephemera call-out to growing and greenspace groups

As part of the British Library Living Knowledge Network “Unearthed” exhibition and series of events, the Mitchell Library's Special Collections team are issuing a call-out for ephemera from local groups with links to growing, parks and environmentalism.
The Mitchell Library’s ephemera collection documents the history and experiences of local groups, events and institution. Posters, leaflets, postcards, tickets, pamphlets & forms are part of the collection that will help future citizens of Glasgow create a picture of everyday life in the past.
The word “ephemeral” suggests items that are only intended to be used for a short time, but their existence is important to the people who use them, and the researchers and local historians of the future!
Here are some examples of ephemera we have collected in the past.

If you are part of a group that are “friends of” a park or greenspace, an allotment association, a community garden, a seed swap, or any other group with links to growing in Glasgow, we’d love you to get in touch with us. Your kind donation of ephemera will enhance our collection and document your activity for the future!
