Friday 24th July

Join us for the launch of Watershed, two weekends of Rivers, Rights, Explorations and Conversations. Jude Barber (Collective Architecture) and writer Louise Welsh will be focusing on Glasgow’s River Clyde, chaired by Robbie Armstrong of The Bell. Tonight is also the launch of ‘Who Owns the Clyde’ Saltire Society pamphlet, written by Louise Welsh with research by Louise Welsh and Jude Barber.

Children’s storytelling picnic with poet, storyteller & Zimbawegie, Tawona Sithole. Bring along your teddy bears and cuddlies and listen to stories of the river. Age 0 – 7years. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Future Town Planners with Katrine Turner, an interactive installation where children take on the role of town planners. An invitation for young people to plan the future of the River Clyde. How would you like the river to function in the future?

Chris discusses Clyde Reflections, his visual arts project, documenting and engaging with a diverse range of individuals and community groups connected to the River Clyde in Glasgow. River Rights, Britain’s foremost Nature Rights Lawyer, Monica Feria-Tinta, author of ‘A Barrister for the Earth’ will be in conversation with Julia Leino of Environmental Rights Centre for Scotland (ERCS) Scotland's only free legal advice service on environmental and related planning law. Chaired by Louise Welsh.
