Join One Button Benny award-winning author Alan Windram with his fantastic picture book Kevin The Orange, in this fun filled family event for 3 to 6 year-olds. Alan is by far one of Wee Write Family Days most popular sessions and this time around there will be sing-along songs, mixed fruit and veg dancing, stories and possibly even a bit of dressing up and some flying fluffy oranges. Come along and join in the fun.
Kevin is an Orange, who is really tired of being orange. So with the help of his friend, Brian the Pear, Kevin tries being lots of different colours with hilarious consequences, only to find out that being the best version of yourself is the greatest thing of all.
Kevin The Orange is a story about the uniqueness of us as individuals, friendship and being happy in your own skin (peel ;)
Alan Windram is the author of children’s picture books including the 2019 BookBug Prize winning One Button Benny. His first chapter book The Catventures of Sparky and George will be published in 2026. He loves writing books for children and his author events are always fun and interactive.
