The second
book in The Wild Isle series from Karen Swan is The Stolen Hours,
is set in the summer of 1929 and Mhairi MacKinnon is in need of a husband. As
the eldest girl among nine children, her father has made it clear he can’t
support her past the coming winter. On the small, Scottish island of St Kilda,
her options are limited.
Jenny
Colgan is the author of numerous Sunday Times bestselling novels and has
won various awards for her writing, including the Melissa Nathan Award for
Comedy Romance, the RNA Romantic Novel of the Year Award and the RNA Romantic
Comedy Novel of the Year Award. Her books have sold more than five million
copies worldwide and in 2015 she was inducted into the Love Stories Hall of
Fame.
Karen Swan
is the Sunday Times top three bestselling author of twenty books and her novels
sell all over the world. She writes two books each year – one for the summer
period and one for the Christmas season. Her historical series called The
Wild Isle, is based upon the dramatic evacuation of the Scottish island St
Kilda in the summer of 1930.

Please note that there is on-street surrounding The Mitchell Library, from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday this is metered. As this is also a local residential area, please use these spaces considerately. Alternatively, there is an a NCP Car Park on India Street next to Charing Cross Train Station which is a 2 minute walk away.
