Glasgow Museums is delighted to have on loan from the Royal Academy in London a fantastic portrait by Scottish artist Henry Raeburn of his step-grandson Henry Raeburn Inglis. The boy, who was Deaf, went on to become an artist himself, studying at the Trustees Academy School of Art in Edinburgh. This was a tremendous achievement in the early 1800s when there was much discrimination against D/deaf and disabled people. This inspiring display has been put together with the help of Glasgow Museums' D/deaf Guides.
